Financial Life Transitions

Many life transitions we experience also impact our finances. These transitions, even the positive ones, can leave us feeling stressed, confused, and vulnerable. Sometimes, these experiences can cause us to need guidance on getting more aligned with what is truly important to us. During sessions, I incorporate self exploratory reflections, psycho-education, cognitive behavioral processing and narrative therapies around financial identity to help clients explore their relationship with money. Clients leave sessions with a better mindset, empowered and more esteemed sense of who they are as they experienced this transition.

Some of the most common financial life transitions I help clients navigate are:

  • Major promotion at work

  • Getting married

  • Having a new baby

  • Empty nesting syndrome

  • Breakup, separation, or divorce

  • Retirement

  • Changes in career

  • Relocation

  • Great financial gain

  • Death of a loved one

  • Inheritance

  • Settlement judgement caused by a traumatic event
